Choosing a
professional collection service to collect your delinquent accounts
requires careful consideration. The decision involves more than
simply awarding your business to the lowest bidder, as the quality of
service you use will affect both your bottom line and your public image.
We are bonded, licensed and properly insured to protect your interest and
you can be assured that your good reputation will not be compromised.
As a member of ACA

nationwide. However, since we are located in Southern Missouri, our
sales efforts are directed to business and medical facilities located in
Missouri and Arkansas.
We would like to
have the opportunity to be considered your partner in delinquent account
collections. Call us to set up a face-to-face interview to determine
if your policies and our procedures are a good match.
Staff is trained
in the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act
(FDCPA) which is the Federal legislation act governing collection

Missouri Collector's Association, professional organizations whose purpose
is to advance compliance with all federal and state laws governing credit
and collection activity.
Professional efforts
are available to help collect past due account receivables. Client-oriented
collection personnel and support staff have been carefully selected for
proper attitudes and temperaments and are thoroughly trained and supervised.
Close attention is given to protecting the goodwill established with
client's customer/patient.
Account information
may be furnished via the Past Due Account Listing Sheet, or by
printing account details from a software program. Immediately after receiving
account information, the data will be recorded in the collection system. An
Acknowledgement listing each account will be sent to the client and the
first request for payment from the debtor will be
generated and mailed the same day. After 60 days, any debt not paid in full
will be reported to Equifax and Trans Union, national credit repositories.
There are no
prepaid fees - work is performed on a contingency basis. In other words, a
fee is charged only after money is received from the debtor. A
remittance statement will be mailed on a monthly basis along with a check
when payments are made to this office. The fee is based on the age of the
accounts at time of placement, frequency of placements and the total
amount placed.
HIPAA Compliant
Healthcare provider clients can be assured that Credit Bureau Associates
is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
of 1996 (HIPAA). The Business Associate Agreement (required for all
Healthcare Provider Clients) was carefully drafted by a St. Louis law firm
to give Healthcare Clients the protection they need. Physical,
electronic and procedural safeguards have been established to protect
patient information.
There are no fees paid by the client. The commission is paid
as a service fee by the writer of the returned check. As checks are
collected, the full amount of the check and the client's bank fee
are remitted to the client on a monthly basis, along with a detailed
statement.
This
service includes a series of letters , phone calls and skip-tracing.
The third notice gives the check writer 10 additional days to pay-in-full
to avoid the account being reported to national credit repositories.
Oftentimes, payment-in-full is received within the first 30 days, but if
the check is not paid within 60 days, the check writer is extended one
last chance before sending the check to the prosecuting attorney.
The
Check Recovery System removes the hassle from the client and places the
responsibility with Credit Bureau Associates for professional follow-up.
Staff seek to
maintain contact with the debtors by written correspondence and by
telephone. Several useful techniques and tools help locate those who have
skipped. If you have lost your customer, don't despair. Provide complete
identifying information and their present
situation
